Key Features

Ultra Low Distortion

The heart of the Anedio A1 Power Amp is an exquisitely-tuned symmetric circuit that offers vanishingly low distortion — 0.0007% THD+N and 0.0002% IMD2 (19K+20KHz at 70W into 8 ohms). Its superb linearity assures that artificial distortion will not be added to the music. You will experience an extraordinary level of sonic transparency that heightens the emotional impact of music.

Ultra Low Noise & Hum

Such a level of performance is achieved, not merely in an ideal bench-top setting, but in real systems found in typical homes. Our robust circuit topology effectively keeps the hum and noise well below the threshold of audibility. You can hear more easily reverberations of the hall against blacker background. With no signal in, you can place your ears right up to the loudspeaker drivers and hear complete silence. For more information, read Designing a Low-Noise System.

Fast Transient Response Driving Loudspeakers

The A1 Amp is exceptionally adept at handling real loudspeaker loads. It is perfectly stable driving a 2uF capacitor, just about the worst capacitive load an amplifier will ever encounter. Finely tuned for a fast transient response, it produces even the most complex and dynamic musical passages with effortless speed and authority.

Monoblock-Quality Channel Separation

The two channels of the A1 amplifier enjoy near ideal separation (-120 dB at 1KHz, -95 dB at 20KHz), approaching that of monoblock amplifiers. You no longer need monoblocks to appreciate the clarity of focus, the stability of imaging, and the depth and width of soundstage.

Low-Noise Power Supply

Extreme care has been taken to prevent the noise from the power supply from contaminating the signal ground and the output. A shielded power entry module, an EMI filter, a magnetically-shielded toroidal power transformer, a fast-settling diode bridge, and low-impedance filter capacitors provide clean supply voltages to the amplifier. Most importantly, the PCB layout is optimized so that the noise on the signal ground is kept absolutely minimal.

Passive Bi-Amping

The built-in switch and dedicated circuitry allow passive bi-amplification in the cleanest possible way, eliminating potential ground loops and hum when two amplifier inputs are connected together. The resulting improvement can be significant, revealing another layer of sonic information. For more information, read Passive Bi-amplification.

Premium-Quality Components

Every part of the A1 Amp is touched by our joy of building a quality product. You will find premium-quality components used judiciously throughout the amplifier -- gold-plated PCBs, gold-plated connectors, a toroidal power transformer with magnetic shields, a solid copper heat spreader, 0.5% precision film resistors, polypropylene capacitors, ultra-fast rectifier diodes, and high-reliability supply capacitors.

Solid Non-Ferromagnetic Chassis

All of this is packaged in a non-ferromagnetic enclosure -- a solid aluminum body tightly coupled to a copper heat spreader -- for improved immunity to electromagnetic interference and high-frequency noise. In addition, the rigid structure, formed by the aluminum body and the copper heat spreader, makes the amplifier impervious to acoustically-induced vibrations.

Space-Efficient Enclosure

The 70 watts of continuous power (90 watts dynamic) come in a space-efficient, slim enclosure, which is only half the width (8.9 inches) of typical amplifiers. The copper heat spreader, with its exceptional ability to conduct heat, together with the solid aluminum body, keep the amplifier running cool.
