D1 DAC reviewed by Project86 in head-fi.org
What’s not debatable for me is that the D1 is an incredible value. It is up there with the absolute best and most transparent pieces of audio reproduction equipment I have ever heard. . . . I can think of no bigger compliment than this: Since receiving the D1, I’ve spent significantly more time enjoying music in my home. I will go so far as to say the D1 has given me more enjoyment for the price than any other audio component I have ever heard.Read the full review.
D1 DAC reviewed by Digital Audio Review
The D1's midrange is all summer breeze and poolside tanning, yet it favours a bass bounce that's fit and well toned (and free of flab). Dynamics are positively sinuous. A lean toward upper-mid presence finds favour with leading edge guitar notes, percussive counterplay and - classical fans take note - string definition. The cello that drives Robyn Hitchcock's Tromso, Kaptein is stripped of obfuscation and is laid bare in the afternoon sun.Read the full review.
D1 DAC reviewed by Holistic Audio
Holistic Audio presented their premier loudspeakers at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2010 using D1 DACs. Here is their observation of the D1 DAC.
Without a doubt, the D1 has outstanding bass. Highly dynamic, taut, controlled, deep, deep, deep and with a sense of slam and authority that very few components, at any price, can begin to match. This under-pinning gives the D1 tremendous structure with effortless drive and pace, but it also does this without sacrificing inner detail and nuance with pristine clarity, even while playing fortissimo piano runs. And it is able to do so without ever losing its composure. On top of which, the D1 really brings out that growly visceral bass from the bottom registers of the piano and massed strings, as well as the extended low-frequency reverberation qualities of various concert halls.
D1 DAC and A1 Amp Combo reviewed by Positive Feedback
if a music device can convince me that I'm not sitting in my living room but rather in the presence of a musical performance, I'm content. The Anedio combo gets these musical values right. Even if one were uninitiated in the audio arts, one would agree that the sound coming from the Anedio system was extraordinarily clear and present.Read the full review.

The most significant sonic characteristics of the Anedio are a very clean and clear sound with excellent bass, a detailed midrange and pristine highs. The D1 is particularly adept at getting the critical timing information in recordings correct. I feel transients are rendered extremely well and music of all types is most engaging and involving. Vocalists both male and female come off extremely well.Read the full review.
